
Bell / Buzzer
A solenoid that hammers a gong: the load at the far end of the doorbell circuit.
- Gong — the metal dome or plate that makes the sound
- Striker — the arm that hits it
- Solenoid coil — pulls the armature in when energised
- Contacts — break the circuit so the striker springs back and strikes again
- Base and mounting holes
- Bell transformer — steps 230 V down to 8–12 V
